Maurice Beatson
Maurice was born into a very horsey family - his father a successful jump jockey, as well as Master of Dannevirke Hunt for 20 years. He was actively involved in all things horsey. Maurice has been riding since he was a small boy. In the early days he rode eventing, winning the DC Trophy (for riders under 17years) on Golden Cloud, and it was in eventing that he first represented New Zealand, in Australia on Lord Aurora.
Sally Clark
Sally came from a horsey pedigree. Her mother, Patricia Dalrymple (nee Robson) represented the North Island in show jumping and continued on to be very involved in top level dressage judging and also breeding of hanoverians.
Sally rode ponies from a very young age and was involved in dressage and show jumping, but predominantly in eventing. The highlight of her career was a silver medal at the Olympic Games,
